Use the Working in Canada tool to learn about job opportunities, wages, skills requirements, and more. To stimulate Canada’s construction industry and protect and create jobs, the Government of Canada made investments to renew social housing and improve municipal housing-related infrastructure.
This initiative included funding to support lot servicing, renovations, the construction of high-density multi-unit dwellings, converting band-owned housing to private ownership, as well as the construction of new social housing projects, the remediation of existing social housing, and complementary housing activities designed to address the housing needs of First Nations peoples.
